The release of the T|X marked Palm’s phasing out of the “Tungsten” sub-branding for its high-end handheld organizers. Palm TX handheld was also one of the first handheld organizers released after changing the company’s name back to “Palm, Inc.” from the ill-received “PalmOne”. The handheld organizers’s correct full name is therefore, “Palm T|X”.
Palm T|X Handheld has solid black body and finish. The handheld organizer has the weight of 148.8g whereas its dimension is at 78.2mm x 120.9mm x 15.5mm. The transflective TFT touch screen display that comes in 320 x 480 pixels resolution has support for over 65k colors. The screen of this great handheld device has the measurement of 3.25 x 2.2 inch. Palm TX supports both wide-screen landscape and portrait mode, switches with a touch on the icon on the status bar. The T|X Handheld organizer runs on Intel 312 MHz ARM-based processor with the memory of 128MB where 100MB is accessible to user. The digital organizer comes with speakers and standard 3.5mm stereo headphone jacks. With the expansion slot that supports MultiMediaCard, SD and SDIO cards, users are able to transfer files to the device as well as storing them as additional memory.
