For a long while it seemed the standalone Windows Mobile Handheld Organizer, or Pocket PC, was a thing of the past. Now, HP has proven otherwise, giving those who enjoy the classic Pocket PC experience a reason to celebrate: the HP iPAQ 110 Series Classic Handheld Organizers.
With a design reminiscent of the h1940 and rx1950 Series iPAQ Pocket Handheld Organizers, the iPAQ 110 has a curved design with a screen-dominated face and slim 0.5-inch form factor. Though the iPAQ 110 is the entry level touchscreen device in the new iPAQ family, it’s by no means a wimpy PDA Handheld Organizer. Features include 256MB of flash memory (for storage), a zippy 624MHz ARM-based CPU, a Secure Digital card slot with support for SDIO peripherals as well as the new SDHC high-capacity SD cards for Handheld Organizers, Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a 3.5″ TFT touchscreen display and a 1200mAh Li-Ion battery for up to 10 hours of use per charge. The iPAQ 110 Handheld Organizer also includes a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
The HP Handheld Organizer, released in 2007, is one of the more sophisticated PDAs available and boasts several technological advances over older Palm products like the Palm TX. (It’s also sold directly through HP as the iPAQ 111) Reviewers rave about its bells and whistles like the speedy 624 MHz Handheld Organizer processor chip, generous memory with multiple expansion options and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. If you’re looking to save some money and can live without wireless connectivity and the fastest processor, the Palm Tungsten E2 Handheld Organizer (*est. $190) is a decent budget alternative that is highly rated by reviewers.
The iPAQ 111 Handheld Organizer is now available for purchase with an MSRP of $299. NOTE: the iPAQ 110 and 111 are the same handheld device. HP uses model number variants to track sales venues.

I have not had this handheld device long enough to get to know it very well. However, the getting started program on the unit is very elementaryand lacks specifics, having to go online to get explanations is a pain… and still the information is not very good or complete. HP iPAQ 110’s battery is the older type but up to now then charge time not been a problem, I’m about to use it for a long period of time within then next few days and will be better able to determine about the battery life.
iPAQ 110 is designed to feel good and work well in your hand, and it looks good everywhere you go. I love the bright 3.5-inch touch-screen display.
guys are you crazy – this pda device is soooo old
